Today I wanted to focus on running back stats: Running backs, they’re important too! Especially in this, our land of two-high safeties.

1) Tank Bigsby currently has the highest avoided tackle rate in the NFL at 47.1%.

Have you enjoyed Tank Bigsby’s takeover of the Jaguars backfield? If the answer is yes, you probably did not draft Travis Etienne. I like Bigsby, but the reason I wanted to bring this stat up is the potential regression therein: He’s 6.2 percent higher than any other qualified back (Zach Charbonnet, 40.9 percent) and if you wanted a sense of what that looks like seasonally, last year Deebo Samuel had an avoided tackle rate of 37.5% in 37 attempts to lead all “running backs” who had more than 30 carries.
